石油工程和机械工程专业获得了为期六年的ABET认证
Two UT Permian Basin 工程 programs have earned full accreditation from the Accreditation Board for 工程 and Technology (ABET).
The 石油工程 and 机械工程 programs received ABET accreditation for six years.
“We have received the maximum accreditation. This is a testament to the quality of the 工程 program at UT Permian Basin,” Dr. George Nnanna, the Dean of 工程 said. "In general, this accreditation conveys to employers that our graduates are well-prepared for the workforce, and it demonstrates to students and parents that our 工程 programs are nationally recognized and are of high quality.”
Nnanna说，认证将帮助学生们获得工程许可证。 专业工程许可委员会（Professional 工程 Licensing Board）将申请人是否来自认证项目作为颁发许可证的一个因素。
这两个项目的认证截止到2024年9月30日。
ABET是一个非政府组织，对应用科学和自然科学、计算机、工程和工程技术等领域的高等教育项目进行认证。
